We have chosen to breed working Labradors from the best Field Trial lines in England and Austria. These breeding lines have multiple Field Trial Champions; conducted in England with live game. These dogs regularly work alongside other dogs, making multiple retrieves both in the upland and in the water.
The working Labrador differs significantly from the Labradors we see in the show ring. The working Labs are selected for their agility, ease of training, soundness and disposition. This differs greatly from the show bred Labs, which are bred based on predefined breed standards, which often come at the sacrifice of athleticism.
Piper has shown terrific hunting drive and skill in the upland. She has been very effective at flushing and retrieving Woodcock, Ruffled Grouse, Pheasants, and even Hare. She is extremely bold and athletic on water retrieves. Piper will do her hunt test qualifiers and continue her training early 2018 once she has weaned her pups.
*Charlie (Brogdenview Bruce Almighty)*
Owner: Brian Gellately Registered with the Canadian Kennel Club & The Kennel Club UK
Charlie is athletic and confident. He earned his CKC Junior Hunter certification at 1 year of age and will continue CKC hunt tests this upcoming season. He is available for breeding, either through natural service or fresh chilled semen. "I have been hunting with dogs for more than twenty five years and have never experienced two puppies (Piper & Charlie) easier to train or with more ability. The significant effort and expense taken to acquire these two has proven to be well worth it" Dr. Hugh J. Baird
Great efforts were taken to select an outstanding match for Piper. We decided on a well accomplished American dog for genetic variety, athletic soundness (OFA hips-excellent, elbows-normal), and an excellent disposition.
